World-renowned marine national park with crystal water, coral reefs and white-sand beaches.

Similan Islands

Overview

The Similan Islands are a protected archipelago in the Andaman Sea, consistently ranked among the world's top dive sites. Granite boulders, turquoise water, and thriving reefs attract divers and snorkellers from Phuket and Khao Lak.

Access is seasonal — the park typically opens November to April. Day trips and liveaboard boats depart from Phuket marinas and nearby mainland piers.

Established as a national park in 1982, the Similans limit daily visitors to protect coral and marine life. Several islands remain off-limits to preserve nesting sites.
